We initially hired Vanessa to work with our middle school daughter on executive functioning, time management, and writing skills. Vanessa truly connected with her, helping her identify her strengths and improve her skills in preparation for high school.

I started meeting with Kristi when I was in 11th grade. She was my school psychologist and helped me advocate to many of my teachers as I was undergoing health issues and struggling with school. During sessions, we worked on things like processing emotions, grounding, and building healthy ways to cope. It's very possible that without her help, I would not have graduated on time; she truly brought me light in a dark place.

Vanessa also educated us on the variety of supports available within the public school setting and helped us navigate the system to secure student support which was no small feat at the high school level. Because of her guidance, our daughter received the support she needed through 4 years of high school and was accepted into college. Furthermore, our daughter became knowledgeable enough to confidently advocate for herself independently at the university level, which was our ultimate goal.
